One case of polygamy
Some weeks ago, Angie told me that one of her classmates’ father passed away. I felt a bit shocked to hear that. I spontaneously offered to take her to her classmate’s house to say condolences, to show her that we were sorry. However, Angie refused. She said, “I don’t know where the corpse was put.” Then she told me that in fact the mother of her classmate was ONLY the nth wife of the father. That’s why Angie didn’t know where the corpse was laid before being buried; whether in the first wife’s house, the second’s or the nth’s. It made me really feel sorry, both for the mother and also for the classmate of Angie.
Guess what Angie said? “It’s no problem for her and also her mother Mama. You know, they get much money from that man.” Angie said that lightly, without any burden.
I was speechless.
